We’ve gone through many changes since the band first formed in 2001 as the “Franklin Ladies Aid Society”. Three of our original members have passed on\, so my band personnel has changed over time. Keyboard/Accordion/Vocalist Fred May is the remaining original member of the band and the band leader. \nLead Vocalist Merlin Standeford has been with the band for several years and is one of the best blues vocalists around! Merlin puts his heart and soul into every note he sings. Other band mates are Lead Guitar man Paul Van Steinberg\, Bass Guitarist Karinne Wallis and Percussionist Gregory Johnson. \nWe enjoy playing for local festivals\, corporate functions\, local wineries\, house concerts\, back-yard BBQ’s and we support our local community by performing for community fundraisers. \nWe sing 3-part harmonies on many of our songs. We play a mix of original tunes and cover songs. The covers we do are done the way we like them\, so may not always be copies of the original. We make the music our own and our fans love what we do. Bill Foss resided in Arizona for 15 years where he played in a variety of R&B bands in the Southwest\, held down the bass chair in a casino house band\, and ran The Front Room recording studio. He is currently fronting The Lloyd L Tolbert Band. Regular band members include: RJ Herb – guitar & vocals\, Rick Markstrom – drums & vocals and Michael Hatgis – bass & vocals. We also add Paul Biondi on horns\, Guss Russell or Skip Jones on keys\, Byron Case on bass and Tim Seifert on drums when the need arises. Lloyd has also enjoyed a long relationship playing in a duo with original Capricorn recording artist Peter Giri. In 2010 Lloyd was awarded first place at the Northwest Harmonica Championships.
