The group frequently headlines regional craft beer and music festivals and keeps a busy performance schedule at wineries\, breweries and casinos. \nThe band consists of Olem Alves on guitar/vocals\, Torrey Newhart on keyboards/vocals and Ryan Biesack on drums. \n  \nRob Kohler\n\n \nRob Kohler \n\nBassist\, composer\, and educator Rob Kohler has been a featured performer at many music festivals around the world including; Montreux\, Strawberry\, Vancouver International\, and the Stanford Jazz Workshop\, to name a few.  \nHe has been a regular at Stanford Jazz Workshop since 1991.  From 2006-08 Kohler served as the Education Director for SJW.  He helped to design and implement a successful middle school jazz program at NOCCA in New Orleans and is a regular clinician there to date. \nAs a composer Rob has been the recipient of two NEA Grants and his originals have been featured on numerous recordings.  His greatly anticipated Jazz Theory Book is slated for an early summer release.  He is currently directing an elementary orchestra in the Inglewood School District in Los Angeles\, gigging around town\, working in the studios\, and writing songs for movies and TV. \n\n

This outstanding FUNK\, R&B\, POP & Soul band regularly performs at numerous wineries\, breweries\, restaurants\, and night clubs throughout in the Umpqua Valley as well as seasonal outdoor concerts and festivals around the Pacific Northwest. Additionally\, this entertaining dance party show band regularly performs at a range of private and corporate events\, engaging audiences since 2004. \nTOB (That Other Band) has a genuine passion for the music they play and the people they play it for. The audience is regularly a part of the show at TOB events. The bands music and grooves are infectious\, the harmonies are powerful\, and the band’s vibe is captivating. Sitting still is not an option at a TOB show. \nThe members of TOB represent various histories and combinations of musical partnerships and projects that predate this project by years. You can rest assured\, everybody in TOB is a pro! Most notable\, the Haggans’ “Family Band” history dates back decades to their teens. The family band still performs on occasion as “Honestly”\, a Contemporary Christian R&B / Roots band lead by the Haggans family sister Asha Barendregt (singer and song writer). “Honestly” is a totally separate project\, from TOB. Honestly added the venerable Mickey Beach on Guitar & Vocals to their line-up around 2005. In the fall of 2019 TOB made two noteworthy additions to its line-up bringing on-board veteran Hammond Organ and Keyboard wizard Michael Mendenhall of Roseburg\, OR and the well traveled and seasoned groove time specialist GT Albright to play Drums and sing backing harmonies for TOB. Additionally\, in 2021 the band added vocalist Darlene Jackson to their line to sing and play percussion. A powerful line-up of veteran musicians and vocalists that deliver dynamic music to any venue\, any size\, any where!That Other Band performs in a wide variety of settings\, with or without drums for more intimate patio or small room settings\, or full show band / large stage electric performances. In all settings\, the energy this band puts out is authentic\, enthusiastic\, and powerfully entertaining. In any setting\, TOB will get you in touch with your funky self\, and keep you engaged and entertained.

Add to that a bonifide New Orleans piano boogie-woogie and the party follows! \nOver the last 20 years\, frontman Skip Jones has enjoyed working with such bands as: The Coasters\, The Drifters\, The Platters\, Joe Houston & Bo Diddley. He toured with the great Canned Heat in 1985-86 holding down Larry Taylor’s bass position. Skip has worked with The Etouffee Band\, James Thornbury\, James Bradshaw and Henry Vestine extensively. Skip can be seen performing at least 4 times a week in Eugene at the jams and with his own band The Spirit of New Orleans.

But the dirty blues has a long tradition in the blues\, and it often resurfaces in modern blues and rock. During the early days of recorded blues\, raunchy songs were recorded nearly as often as love songs and laments. These songs were distinguished by their often humorous double entendres and metaphors. \nDirty Blues is a tradition that goes way back to the days JellyRoll Morton and Ma Rainey.  it’s been kept alive throughout the years by Chitlin Circuit artists like Barbara Carr and Denise Lasalle\, sadly passed on recently. The show “That’s Nasty” continues this raunchy tradition by presenting dirty blues songs\, not only by these classic artists but some new originals as well from the performing artists of this show.  If you love the Blues and aren’t faint of heart\, don’t miss this show!

The band comes with many combined years of performing and plays classic rock\, with some old school country\, and a mix of radio hits from the 80s and 90s. \nJason Johnson (vocals\, guitar) and Darin Kromarek (guitar\, vocals) had started a modern rock band in the late 90’s that secured an independent record deal and radio play across the country. \nJoined by David Vargas on bass and Brian Middleton on drums\, the group has played local clubs and private events with a growing following and a solid fan base of music lovers. \nJason has been singing and writing songs since childhood and has performed professionally since the 90’s with several band and solo albums to his credit. His dynamic vocals give the fans an authentic experience of their favorite songs. \n  \nThe band’s solid rhythm section is made up of David and Brian. David holds down the bass and has played in several groups in Seattle and Sacramento. \nBrian Middleton has performed in several Willamette Valley bands over the past 30 years. He uses both acoustic and digital kits depending on the sonic requirements of the gig and is known for his infectious grooves.
