He is a multi-instrumentalist\, (Classical Double Bass\, Cello\, Guitar\, Mandolin\, and Accordian) and a capable songwriter as well. \nFormerly of Seattle and L.A. native\, Stephen Arriola (Guitar) has hosted numerous blues jams and served in the role of lead guitar player for many bands including the popular Oregon Americana band “Silas”\, “Stone Mosey”\, “Johnny Wilde and the Blue Yonder” and “Phoebe Blume” and others that have taken him as far away as Shanghai\, China. Prior to landing in the Pacific Northwest\, and becoming deeply rooted in the Eugene\, Oregon blues scene\, Blue spent some years in Austin\, Texas hanging out with his friend\, the blues great\, James Cotton. It was with Cotton that Blue perfected his craft. \nThe Blue Owens Band has honed their original songs in front of live audiences\, responding to their listeners\, “working the tip jar” in the traditional\, old-blues way\, bringing down the roof with house-rocking\, hard-driving blues. DESCRIPTION:$15 Cover\n\nJohnny Burgin:\nJohnny grew up in Starkville\, Mississippi and went to University of Chicago at 18\, but ended up attending “blues university”. Since the early 90’s Johnny has toured and recorded with blues legends such as Pinetop Perkins\, Sam Lay\, Tail Dragger and Billy Boy Arnold as well as ten of his own CDs. Johnny was nominated for a Blues Musical Award for Best Traditional Blues CD of 2017 for Howlin’ at Greaseland\, a Howlin’ Wolf tribute. Vintage Guitar stated of his most recent effort\, “No Border Blues Japan”: “Stellar fretwork and gloriously loose\, earthy and immediate Chicago blues”.
