We are an eclectic group of musicians with varied musical backgrounds. We’ve gone through many changes since the band first formed in 2001 as the “Franklin Ladies Aid Society”. Three of our original members have passed on, so my band personnel has changed over time. Keyboard/Accordion/Vocalist Fred May is the remaining original member of the band and the band leader.
Lead Vocalist Merlin Standeford has been with the band for several years and is one of the best blues vocalists around! Merlin puts his heart and soul into every note he sings. Other band mates are Lead Guitar man Paul Van Steinberg, Bass Guitarist Karinne Wallis and Percussionist Gregory Johnson.
We enjoy playing for local festivals, corporate functions, local wineries, house concerts, back-yard BBQ’s and we support our local community by performing for community fundraisers.
We sing 3-part harmonies on many of our songs. We play a mix of original tunes and cover songs. The covers we do are done the way we like them, so may not always be copies of the original. We make the music our own and our fans love what we do. We hope you enjoy what we do as well! -Fred May
